The weather has been simply fantastic here in RI over the last week. Sunny and cool, little to no humidity. What more could you ask for?!?!

In any case, I was experimenting with IR this morning and learned that white balance settings play a HUGE part in the end result. For this pic, the color is straight out of my camera and miles away from the purple/red that I'm used to seeing.

That is just utterly incredible...a lil soft in the trees which I suspect is due prolly to the long exposure IR needs. But man......those colors!!!! Bowl me right on over!

that is a nice one... I wonder how did you make water so orange? Was is only WB or did you use PS? Could you write in details how did you measure WB. I raed about a method with a white sheet of paper. Here are some useful tips on how to make such beautiful pics with D70 [link]

Hope to hear from you soon.

Very well done, but is this really a photo? It looks like digital art...or manipulated...

I can see this is already a popular shot. me doing some IR myself and as a friend to a friend.. Have you tried this swapping the red and blue channels over in photoshop ? It will give the trees a more natural yellow wash and the water would turn to a rich blue.

I like this shot very much. :)
